Refer Someone

Know Someone Tyler Should Meet?

Most of Tyler's clients arrive through someone they trust. An introduction takes two minutes, asks for no financial details, and leaves every decision with the person you introduce.

Who Tyler Typically Works With

  • Business owners with a pension, cash balance plan or a large pre-tax 401(k)
  • Professional athletes, active or retired, in or near their peak earning years
  • Physicians and practice owners in the top tax brackets
  • Executives with equity compensation, large bonuses or a liquidity event
  • Families whose estate is approaching the federal exemption

Moments Worth A Conversation

Selling or winding down a business. A new contract or a big bonus year. A retirement plan that has quietly grown large. A first conversation about what the family inherits. You do not need to know their numbers; if they have mentioned one of these, that is enough.

An Introduction, Not A Sign-Up

Tyler never treats a referral as a client. He reaches out once, personally, and the person you introduce decides whether to talk. What they share stays between them and Tyler.

About You
Who You're Introducing

An email or a phone number is enough.

Context (optional)

A sentence is plenty. Please leave out income, account values or anything personal about their finances.

Used only to make this introduction. Never sold, never added to a mailing list.

Referral Questions

What happens after I send an introduction?

Tyler reaches out to the person personally and mentions that the introduction came from you. He offers a short first conversation. If advanced planning is not a fit for their situation, he says so plainly.

Does a referral commit them to anything?

No. An introduction is only an introduction. The person you refer decides whether a conversation is worth having, and whether to continue after it.

Should I tell them first?

Yes, please. A quick heads-up that Tyler will be in touch makes the introduction land well, which is why the form asks you to confirm it.

Will Tyler tell me what they discussed?

No. Whatever the person shares with Tyler stays between them. You may hear that you were connected, but not the details of anyone's finances.

I am a CPA, attorney or advisor. Is there a different path?

Yes. The professional introduction page explains where Tyler fits alongside you and has a form built for referring a client.
